Scrap Tire Recycling

Each province in Canada has established a program to recycle used tires in an effort to create a more sustainable and eco-friendly industry. CATRA (Canadian Association of Tire Recycling Agencies) is an organization made up of these various tire recycling agencies in the provinces and territories of Canada.

The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada, together with CATRA, has taken a leadership role in helping to establish many provincial industry-run, used tire recycling programs in Canada. One of our goals is to develop and enhance these programs and to ensure that their day-to-day operations are being well managed.

We encourage you to browse the websites below for each provincial used tire recycling program to learn more about how Canada is working towards the creation of a more environmentally sustainble tire industry.
