The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC) is thrilled to host the 2025 Rubber Recycling Symposium, a premier biennial event dedicated to advancing sustainable practices in tire and rubber recycling. Scheduled for October 8-9 at Calgary’s historic Fairmont Palliser Hotel. The symposium will gather hundreds of global industry leaders, innovators, and policymakers for an unparalleled exchange of ideas and solutions.
This year’s theme “Tires reimagined: Sustainability in Motion” underscores collaboration and innovation that are the core of addressing the most pressing challenges and opportunities in the field. Participants will gain insights into global trends in end-of-life tire (ELT) management, cutting-edge recycling approaches, and industry-leading sustainability strategies. Highlights include an exclusive CEO panel and thought-provoking discussions.
The Symposium is not only an opportunity to learn but also to connect. With representatives from tire manufacturers, rubber recyclers, ELT stewardship organizations, policymakers, and academic experts, the event fosters partnerships that help shape the future of the tire and rubber industry.
On the recycling front, the European Commission is proposing a ban on the use of rubber granules as infill material in synthetic sports surfaces which would severely affect these existing markets and could echo across regulatory jurisdictions worldwide. At the same time, support, and adoption for other sound tire recycling solutions such as tire derived aggregate and rubber modified asphalt move at the speed of, well, poured asphalt.
Join us in Calgary to contribute to the development of an environmentally and economically sustainable rubber recycling industry. Save the date and stay tuned for the program release this April. Together, let’s shape the future of tire and rubber recycling.
