Goodyear Celebrates 45 Years in Lawton with the Blimp

The Goodyear plant in Lawton opened its doors 45-years-ago and ever since it’s employed thousands and has become a pillar in the Lawton community and to help celebrate the occasion, one of the Goodyear blimps flew around Lawton.

For Manufacturing Director Colby Clodfelter this milestone is one that’s important to him.

“It’s really special, especially for me growing up here in Lawton.” Clodfelter said. “I spent about the first half of my career here. Started out as an operator, spent the last half of my career with an opportunity in three other plants, and there’s really no place like Lawton. So it’s an honor for me to be back with people who kind of helped me grow up and become who I am. It’s an honor for me to help run this organization.” …
