The Continental Tire plant may have been lost in a sea of more recent economic development projects, but it recently celebrated its fifth year of operation.
The plant is one of several tire plants in Mississippi. Though tires are not set to become obsolete anytime soon, the company still seeks to make good on its promise to provide 2,500 local jobs by 2028.
