Cebu Pacific Air and Bridgestone Launch New Solution with “easytrack” Tire Management System

Bridgestone Corporation (Bridgestone) today announced that, Cebu Pacific Air(CEB), the Philippines’ leading airline, and Bridgestone launched a new solution service with “easytrack” tire management system in April 2025. The “easytrack” is Bridgestone’s unique system for individual tire management which utilizes QR codes*1 and smartphone app for more efficient inventory management of aircraft tires. This is the first time that the service has been officially implemented by an airline.

To support safe aircraft operation with peace of mind, tires are required to meet advanced safety and quality standards, and it is crucial to manage each tire individually by its serial number. Until now, CEB has performed individual tire identification, inventory management, and maintenance operations manually–using visual checks and paper-based processes–at each point in its supply chain (warehouses, CEB’s affiliated MROs*2 for parts, and operational bases for maintenance of the aircrafts). As the scale of operations has expanded and the workload associated with these tasks has increased, needs for improved and efficient operation has grown.

To meet such needs of airlines, Bridgestone has developed unique tire management system “easytrack” as a new solution service that enables integrated management of individual aircraft tires through the process of production, delivery, use, and return. The “easytrack” system reduces workload required for the individual tire identification which is unique to aircraft tires and realize improved operational efficiency. After introducing “easytrack” at CEB’s supply chain bases and verifying its benefits for a certain period, approximately 50% of labor time for inventory management has reduced. Also, the services has achieved 100% accuracy of inventory management data.

CEB and Bridgestone share a common commitment to “ensuring safe and secure aircraft operations,” “advancing the aviation industry,” and “contributing to society,” and are promoting this co-creation initiative based on these shared values. The introduction of this new solution service was made possible by combining Bridgestone’s “real (physical)” strength such as “Dan-Totsu Products” *3 , outstanding manufacturing capabilities, and hands-on technical service skills with digital technology based on the strong relationship and trust between the two companies.

Comment from Shevantha Weerasekera, Vice President, Engineering & Fleet Management, Cebu Pacific Air: “As Cebu Pacific continues to expand its operations, it’s essential that we invest in smart solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce manual workload. Partnering with Bridgestone to implement the “easytrack” system has enabled us to significantly improve our tire management processes, ensuring greater accuracy, safety, and productivity across our operations.” Looking ahead, we will continue to advance the collaboration between our two companies, creating new value and contributing to the development of aviation technology and society.

Comment from Arata Tomita, Director, Global Aviation Tire Solutions Business Division, Bridgestone Corporation: “As a value co-creation partner, we have proposed solutions tailored to on-site operations based on learnings and insights gained from Cebu Pacific Air’s frontline operations. We are very pleased that the official implementation of “easytrack” has contributed to the improvement of operational accuracy, safety, and productivity. Through further expansion and evolution of this solution, we will amplify the value of our “Dan-Totsu Products,” trust with our customers, and value of the data for creating new value”.

With expansion and enhancement of solution for airlines, Bridgestone is committed to social and customer value based on co-creation, aligning with our corporate commitment, the “Bridgestone E8 Commitment,” *4 which emphasizes: 1) Efficiency–supporting mobility and maximizing operational productivity, and 2) Ecology–promoting sustainable tires and solutions to ensure a better environment for future generations.
