USTMA’s Anne Forristall Luke to Deliver the Keynote Address at ITEC 2022

Anne Forristall Luke, President and CEO of the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association, will deliver the keynote address on the second day of the ITEC 2022 Conference taking place on September 13-15, 2022, at the John S. Knight Center in Akron, Ohio.

SEPT 14, 2022:

AT THE INTERSECTION OF TECHNOLOGY AND POLITICS, SUSTAINABILITY FINDS ITS STRIDE

Sustainability is a journey, not a destination – a profound reality understood by the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA), which represents 12 of the largest tire manufacturers in the United States. USTMA President and CEO Anne Forristall Luke will discuss the industry’s economic outlook as well as a few of its most pressing sustainability priorities, including industry efforts to reduce CO2 emissions; advance sustainable and circular markets for scrap tire markets; and incorporate the use of recycled and renewable materials into new tires.

Luke will discuss the industry’s ability to respond in unprecedented ways to the opportunities presented by these sustainability challenges, thanks to recent innovations in tire design, engineering and production; the use of new materials; and new research supporting scrap tire markets (such as use in green infrastructure); and the tire industry’s important collaborations with scientific researchers, regulators and NGOs. She will also address how federal and state legislation has the potential to support and advance – or further impede – the U.S. tire industry’s most critical sustainability priorities.

ABOUT ITEC

Organized by Rubber News, the International Tire Exhibition & Conference (ITEC) is the largest tire manufacturing trade show and conference in North America.

The show returns to the John S. Knight Center in Akron, Ohio, on September 13 – 15, 2022. ITEC combines world class (and worldwide) exhibitors with an exceptional technical conference program.

As much attention is paid to building an outstanding conference program as is spent on gathering exhibitors who can provide real-world experience and solutions. Attendees, who are decision makers and technical people from across the globe, can learn as much on the exhibit floor as in the conference rooms.

The schedule for the three-day event combines dedicated exhibit time with seminars, special presentations, keynote addresses and panel discussions. Attendees will find exhibitors from every aspect of tire manufacturing offering solutions and improvements for tire makers. ITEC is known for having a high percentage of attendees who make purchasing decisions, as well as the technical people who influence buying decisions. Networking happens on and off the show floor during the free lunches, refreshment breaks and the popular opening night reception.

Held every two years, ITEC is dedicated exclusively to tire makers and those that serve the industry.
