Toronto, ON, Canada – April 30, 2024 – The Tire and Rubber Association of Canada (TRAC; https://tracanada.ca) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mahmood Habibnia as its new Director of Operations.
With over two decades of tire industry experience Mr. Habibnia brings a wealth of experience to the association. He holds a Master of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Cincinnati, and he has held various leadership roles in organizations such as Michelin and Goodyear. As the new Director of Operations, he will be instrumental to the Association’s key technical, environmental, and regulatory matters, including monthly tire industry data, Tire Technical and Statistical Committees, and building relationships and partnerships with key members and stakeholders.
“I am honored to join such an esteemed organization and I look forward to making meaningful contributions to its continued success,” says Habibnia. “I am committed to continue driving the Association’s initiatives forward, continue the important work that Barry Yutronkie did on behalf of the industry, and deliver value to our members and stakeholders.”

Mr. Habibnia’s appointment starts on May 1, 2024, and he will work with the current Director of Operations Barry Yutronkie who will retire at the end of May.
