Participation is free of charge. On-site participation is limited to 50 persons. If more than two persons from your institution plan to join, please consider online participation to allow for a high diversity of on-site participants.

Please note that online participation may be limited to specific sessions and active contributions may not be possible (or limited).

This workshop is conducted by the Environment Agency Austria on behalf of the Austrian Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Climate and Environmental Protection, Regions and Water Management.

What is the aim of the workshop? The aim is to discuss and identify strategies to effectively tackle tire wear emissions and associated (chemical) risks to inform decision makers.

Who should participate? Members of all stakeholder groups (academia, industry, government/administration, representation of interests, NGOs, providers of infrastructure/public services…) who are directly or indirectly involved in the topic of tire wear and associated chemical risks.

What is on the agenda? The workshop will comprise platform presentations and breakout sessions actively involving participants. We will focus on selected action areas and measures to mitigate tire wear and related (chemical) risks. The selection will be based on the results of a preceding expert survey, which you may have kindly completed.

How will the results be used, and will I get them? A final report will summarise the survey and workshop results. Participants in either will receive the report. Results will be presented on a stakeholder group level. Your contributions in the workshop or survey will not be traceable to individual persons or organisations. The report will present identified strategies to effectively tackle tire wear and associated risks and summarise the positions of relevant stakeholders. It shall inform decision makers (at the EU and national levels) and the expert community.
