New Brunswick Shares Draft Amendment to the Designated Materials Regulation

New Brunswick’s Department of Environment and Local Government has posted draft amendments to the Designated Materials Regulation – Clean Environment Act (N.B. Regulation 2024-37).  These amendments relate to the modernization of New Brunswick’s tire recycling program, which currently manages end‑of‑life passenger and truck tires.

The intent of the tire recycling program modernization is to convert the program to the nationally recognized extended producer responsibility model and expand the program to include off-the-road tires.
