The competition run by Europneus, a leading online magazine for the sector, recognizes leaders throughout the pneumatic tire industry.
The Hevea 2021 awards selected Trelleborg for Best Industry Director (Ramón Martínez, Country Manager Spain and Portugal at Trelleborg Wheel Systems), Best OTR (Off-the-Road) Tire (Trelleborg EMR 1051) and Best Agricultural Tire (Trelleborg PneuTrac), to compete for top place against other leading manufacturers and aftermarket players from across the Spanish tire market.
Ramón Martínez, on news of the nominations, says: “All of us at Trelleborg are proud to be nominated by Europneus magazine and feel this recognizes the excellence of our products. For me personally, with 20 years at the helm of Trelleborg Wheel Systems in Spain, it’s particularly satisfying to be up for the Hevea Award Best Industry Director and to see our tires selected as well. This honor demonstrates all the effort invested in the research and innovation behind all our offerings.”
Engineered using a state-of-the-art compound and boasting a strong radial carcass and extra-deep tread, earth-moving radial tire Trelleborg’s EMR 1051, optimizes load distribution and tire life while boosting ride comfort and fuel efficiency. Designed for heavy loads, it is a prime solution for working on intensive construction jobs, including in open pits and quarries.
Trelleborg’s revolutionary PneuTrac’s nomination as Best Agricultural Tire follows the TM1000 ProgressiveTraction® winning first place in the Hevea awards in 2019. Making tracks throughout the agricultural industry, including vineyards and fruit groves, PneuTrac combines the benefits of a radial agricultural tire with a track. This results in an extra-long footprint and superior flotation and traction, without compromising fuel efficiency, comfort, or handling.
The contest is open until December 31st for online voting:
Registered participants can cast votes for their top picks in each of the twenty categories. Selection of winners will be by a mix of online votes (70%) and a jury of industry experts (25%) with contest winners announced at the Hevea Awards ceremony on January 27, 2022 at IFEMA, Madrid, Spain.
