Yokohama 715R’s Severe Snow Service Rating Makes It Ideal For Canadian Fleets

Langley, BC (June 7, 2021) Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. is providing fleet operators with year-round peace of mind in the form of the open shoulder 715R, which will carry the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol on its sidewall to indicate it meets the industry’s required performance criteria for severe snow service

“The 715R’s confirmed adverse weather capabilities make it a desirable tire to allow Canadian companies to safely and surely operate fleets year-round,” said Jenny Rodriguez, Commercial Market Planning Manager for Yokohama Tire (Canada) Inc. “Its deep tread offers long, even wear, performance, value and improved fuel efficiency in an open shoulder design.”

The 715R is also SmartWay certified by the U.S. Environment Protection Agency (EPA) for its value and enhanced fuel efficiency, provided by Yokohama’s exclusive compound that reduces rolling resistance while resisting cuts and chips.

Manufactured in West Point, Mississippi and available in four sizes — 11R22.5, 295/75R22.5, 285/75R24.5 and 11R24.5 — the Yokohama 715R offers further benefits, such as:

  • longevity, thanks to a deep 26/32-inch tread pattern, advanced tread design featuring strategically placed tie bars to control block movement and significantly minimize heel/toe wear,
  • superior traction, from sturdy, open shoulder blocks precisely spaced to help minimize the retention of foreign objects,
  • increased load capacity, provided by 16-ply construction and an H load-rating.
