Meet the Families That Built Akron at New Stan Hywet exhibit

Stan Hywet Hall and Gardens is a monument to one of Akron’s most famous families.

Its Manor House is frozen in time when Goodyear Tire co-founder F.A. Seiberling and his wife, Gertrude, and their family roamed the halls of the rambling estate back in the early 1900s.

And now some of Akron’s other families that you may or may not have ever heard of have been invited to spend the summer in the home and share their stories as part of nation’s 250th birthday celebration…
