Bridgestone Launches V-Steel Highway Service 3 Crane Tire

Bridgestone Americas (Bridgestone) today debuted the Bridgestone V-Steel Highway Service 3 (VHS3) tire for mobile and all-terrain cranes. The high-speed radial tire is designed with fleet performance in mind, delivering stability and control while lifting heavy loads and when moving between on- and off-the-road environments. This addition to the company’s expanding portfolio of specialty tires underscores the company’s commitment to innovation for all forms of mobility.

The new Bridgestone VHS3 tire is U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) approved, meeting the safety standards set by the DOT. The VHS3 tire outpaces its predecessor, the VHS2 tire, in several categories and will officially replace it in Bridgestone’s portfolio. Specialized features of the tire include:

• 12% More Tire Life – The Bridgestone VHS3 tire is manufactured with advanced rubber compound technology and innovative sidewall construction, reducing heat buildup, minimizing irregular wear, and extending tire life by 12%1.
• More Grip – Wide grooves and extended lugs in the tire’s new tread design offer improved grip, stability and wear across highways and off-road terrains2.
• Lighter Casing Design – The new VHS3 tire utilizes a redesigned casing that features a lighter belt, bead structure, and shoulder design, to help reduce fuel consumption while maintaining load capacity3.
