Nokian Tyres’ Publishes Corporate Sustainability Report 2020

Nokian Tyres reached several sustainability milestones in 2020:

• Nokian Tyres was the first tire company to have its emissions reduction targets approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
• Our new factory in the US received LEED v4 Silver certification for green building.
• 100% of all waste was recycled in Finland, and 99% in Russia and in the US.
• Our injury frequency rate LTIF has dropped 73% from 2015.
• We have lowered the rolling resistance of our tires by 8.5% on average since 2013, which means less fuel and less CO₂ emissions.
