The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has opened nominations for its highest honor, the Tire Industry Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of individuals who have contributed greatly to the growth and/or development of the tire industry or have demonstrated high standards, ideals and leadership in the management of their businesses in the tire community. The award is open to all individuals in the tire industry, including manufacturers, inventors, publishers, equipment suppliers, tire association executives, tire dealers, tire and rubber recyclers and retreaders. Hall of Fame membership may be awarded posthumously.
Inductees are chosen by judges based on the following criteria:
“The tire industry has been built by innovators and leaders who recognized the need for a product or service,” said Richard “Dick” Gust, TIA CEO. “TIA created the Hall of Fame to recognize these historical contributions and celebrate the people who have shaped the tire industry. We look forward to honoring the next inductees who will become a permanent part of the association’s history.”
Candidates’ civic, cultural, educational or charitable endeavors will be considered but are not a primary consideration as attributes for selection.
Honorees will be announced in the Fall and recognized during TIA’s pre-show events preceding the Global Tire Expo/SEMA Show taking place Nov. 4 – 7, 2025.
