Former Goodyear Plant in Bowmanville to Be Demolished

The majority of the former Goodyear plant has been approved for demolition to make way for a mixed-use development.

Clarington council approved the demolition of most of the buildings during a meeting on June 27, with the condition that three structures, including the cement house (building 27), the powerhouse (building 1) and the chimney stack be preserved and designated under the Heritage Act.
