Goodyear Utilizing New Left and Right-Side Tires for Iowa NASCAR Cup Series Race

Following a Goodyear Tire Test at Iowa Speedway, which was conducted between June 3 and 4, Goodyear will bring brand-new left side and right side tire compounds for NASCAR Cup Series teams for this weekend’s Iowa Corn 350 Powered by Ethanol.

Goodyear used data that it pulled from the test, which had representatives from all three NASCAR Cup Series OEM manufacturers, including Kyle Busch (No. 8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet), Austin Cindric (No. 2 Team Penske Ford), and Chase Briscoe (No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota), to come up with the new tire compounds for this weekend’s race.

Goodyear confirmed that it will bring a new tire compound to Iowa Speedway for the NASCAR Cup Series in a weekly media release. …
