Nexen Tire Wraps North America’s First-Ever Ride & Drive From Indoor Snow Park

Nexen Tire America didn’t wait for winter to put its dynamic all-weather tire to the test.

In a first for the North American automotive market, Nexen brought vehicles inside an indoor snow park for a full driving event, transforming Big SNOW American Dream, North America’s first and only indoor, real-snow, year-round ski resort, into a proving ground for its all-weather N’Blue 4Season 2 tire.

Automotive media, content creators, and industry partners had the opportunity to evaluate the versatile Nexen N’Blue 4Season 2 in authentic winter and real-world driving conditions months before winter weather arrives.

The multi-day activation featured a dual-course testing program designed to demonstrate the tire’s versatility, performance, and control in dramatically different environments. Participants navigated a specially prepared compact snow course inside Big SNOW to experience true winter traction and stopping power, followed by an outdoor street-driving course on local public roads to evaluate everyday highway manners, handling, and ride comfort. The unprecedented experience put Nexen’s all-weather engineering on full display under conditions that would normally require months or separate locations to experience.

“Testing a 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake (3PMSF) certified all-weather tire on real snow in September provided an unprecedented, hands-on demonstration of what the N’Blue 4Season 2 can do well ahead of the winter season,” said John Hagan, Executive Vice President of Sales at Nexen Tire America. “By pairing controlled winter driving with real-world street evaluation, we gave drivers a complete look at how this tire delivers uncompromising winter grip without sacrificing year-round comfort or tread longevity.”

The 3-Peak Mountain Snowflake-certified N’Blue 4Season 2 combines enhanced snow capability with the ride, handling and tread life expected from an everyday touring tire. The result is an all-weather tire designed for divers who want stronger winter capability without moving to a dedicated seasonal tire.

Among the N’Blue 4Season 2’s key features:

  • Shorter stops in winter conditions: 20% shorter stopping performance in snow and ice compared with Nexen’s N’Priz AH8 all-season tire.
  • More grip in snow: 20% greater snow traction through jagged shoulder-block patterns designed to bite into snow.
  • More predictable handling in bad weather: Up to 15% improved winter handling, with angled wave-shaped and micro-thin sipes that help evacuate rain and snow.
  • Performance across a wider range of temperatures: Advanced Resin Technology using five times the resin of Nexen’s conventional all-season compound, engineered to maintain flexibility at low temperatures and stiffness as temperatures rise.
  • Built for long-term use: Industry-leading 70,000-mile treadwear warranty, surpassing the warranties of other top-tier tire competitors by 17%.
  • Designed for a broad range of vehicles: With 60 sizes from 15 to 12 inches and H, V, W and Y speed ratings, the N’Blue 4Season 2 has broad coverage across passenger cars, crossovers and SUVs.

The Big SNOW event also underscored Nexen’s focus on advanced engineering and product design to narrow the performance gap with established Tier 1 brands.

“There’s a perception that drivers have to choose between value and performance, and that’s exactly the assumption we want to challenge,” said Aaron Neumann, Head of Nexen Tire America Technical Center. “The all-weather performance capability of the N’Blue 4Season 2 is a great example of the robust engineering that goes into all Nexen tires. Nexen has invested heavily in R&D to deliver performance that competes with the top tire manufacturers in the world. As a result, we are able to deliver 95% of the performance of a Tier 1 tire at about 80% of the cost, giving drivers an alternative that competes on performance, warranty and technology while remaining premium and attainable.”

The N’Blue 4Season 2 puts Nexen’s performance-focused strategy into practice, combining severe-snow certification, an industry-leading 70,000-mile warranty and advanced all-weather technology in a tire engineered to perform across a broad range of conditions.
