TireHub, the national tire distributor cofounded by The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company (Goodyear) and Bridgestone Americas Inc. (Bridgestone), last month celebrated its fourth anniversary with continued growth and enhanced customer experience.
“During our fourth year of business, we maintained our focus on providing leading service that drives our customers’ success. We expanded our footprint, grew our portfolio with Cooper Tires, added delivery capabilities and invested in tools to fuel continued growth,” said TireHub CEO Ted Becker. “We saw our customers’ businesses change over the last year and we adapted to their needs. Our commitment is always to deliver the tires they need, when and how they need them, so they can better serve consumers.”
TireHub extended its footprint in several new and existing markets in the last twelve months. The company expanded into McAllen, TX, and Tucson, AZ and opened a second center in Chicago, IL. It also relocated TireHub Logistics Centers (TLCs) in existing markets of Kennesaw, GA, Memphis, TN, and Metairie, LA. TireHub plans to open additional TLCs in the next several months, including a new facility in the Washington D.C. market. Additionally, TireHub added Cooper tires to its product portfolio, giving customers more tire choices.
In year four, TireHub also invested in solutions to improve service and increase profitability for customers. New and more frequent deliveries in key markets improved service to dealers and retailers. The company updated its TireHub Now ordering portal with enhanced functionality and faster speed and has more site upgrades coming soon. Investments in the company’s customer service team and tools enabled more proactive and transparent service. New reporting capabilities and dealer program enhancements allowed customers to optimize their product screens and access more consumers in their markets. All these additions are designed to help TireHub customers grow their business.
TireHub filled four key leadership positions this year—appointing Ted Becker as CEO, Grant Dismore as vice president of operations and Curtis Brison as vice president of sales, marketing and strategic growth. To further demonstrate TireHub’s commitment to customer experience, Nikki Roberson was also internally promoted to vice president of communications, culture & customer experience. Together, TireHub’s leadership team is bringing TireHub into its next stage of dynamic growth.
Because people are key to the company’s growth, it continued to reinvest in Hubbers (TireHub employees) in year four, offering career planning, professional development opportunities, employee resource groups and the TireHub Scholarship Program: Road to Education. Additionally, TireHub will soon unveil a grant program that provides support for Hubbers in crisis.
“From day one, we’ve known our people are TireHub’s strongest asset,” said Vice President of Communications, Culture & Customer Experience Nikki Roberson. “TireHub attracts incredible talent across all levels of the organization, and we believe investing in this talent, both professionally and personally, contributes to our strong culture, as well as the ultimate success of the company.”
As the company looks ahead to its next year, Becker indicates the future is bright. “We look forward to another year of dynamic growth. We are excited to continue serving our customers with more market coverage, increased technologies and tools, and leading service powered by our Hubbers.”
