Nissan Acceleration Team Rode Maxxis Tires to 40 Trophies in 2022

Maxxis’ history of sponsoring successful grassroots motor sports teams continued last year with its support of the Nissan Acceleration Team (NAT), which rode Maxxis tires to the podium in its third impressive season.

The Nissan Acceleration Team (NAT), which competes in grassroots motorsports events with modified vehicles such as the Nissan Maxima, Sentra, LEAF, Versa and the Nissan Z, competed in ten autocross, one test-and-tune and two high performance driving events (HPDE) in 2022, all riding on Maxxis tires. The team won 37 SCCA and three ZCON Trophies (fastest Z in class and overall) plus an Official Class Podium in H-Street for the SCCA Northwestern Ohio Region.

Maxxis supported the NAT with its winning VR-1 200TW extreme summer tires and RC-1 100TW r-compound tires. “We’re so pleased to be working with Nissan as a valued OE customer and partner for grassroots motorsports,” said Mark Lin, OE account manager for Maxxis. “Our relationship with NAT is mutually beneficial as it allows us to better understand how our products perform. We’ve completed three successful racing seasons and look forward to cheering the team on in 2023.”
