USTMA: 2021 Replacement Tire Shipments Exceeded Pre-Pandemic Levels

US replacement tire shipments in three categories – passenger, light truck and truck and bus – blew past prior-year figures and exceeded pre-pandemic levels during 2021, according to the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association’s (USTMA) final, full-year numbers.

A total of 224.7 million replacement passenger tires were shipped in the United States during 2021, a 10.3% year-over-year increase, according to USTMA.

In the light truck tire segment, 38.6 million units were shipped in the replacement channel, a 17.2% increase over full-year 2020 levels.
